Cursed Caveman

I once stepped through a portal
To learn how to be mortal

With a zip and flash and through haze
A caveperson comes upon my gaze

I ask,

Do you curse the flood that wipes out the berries?
*No, for I'll soon cultivate them for centuries.*

Do you curse the tigers for which blood you pay?
*No, for soon they will be my prey.*

Do you curse the sky that brings the night?
*No, there are some things I just shouldn't fight.*

I portal back home, sit enlightened and humbled
Then I turned on my screens as my calm fumbled
Scrolling and scrolling as I cursed and grumbled
